IAG, Nagaland risk reduction on disaster management formation initiated

Dimapur, October 20 (MExN): A one day consultation meeting on formation of IAG (Inter Agency Groups) Nagaland, risk reduction on disaster management was held at Nagaland Development Outreach Office, Dimapur on October 19. The consultation meeting was jointly initiated and organized by Christian Auxiliary Social Action, World Vision of India, Habitat for Humanity India and Nagaland Development Outreach, a press release from IAG, Nagaland, Chenithung Humtsoe stated. The meeting was held for proper coordination between International Relief Agencies and local organizations and institutions to ensure efficient delivery of relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction of the disaster affected communities. Levish Leivon, Habitat for Humanity India representative for North East chaired the meeting. More than twenty local NGOs participated and agreed upon to form IAG for Nagaland. A formal launching program will be held soon with more stake holders joining the initiatives, it was also stated.
