IDANSB seeks creation of post for dental surgeons

Dimapur, June 15 (MExN): Indian Dental Association Nagaland State Branch (IDANSB) today wrote to the Commissioner & Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare (H&FW), seeking creation of posts for dental surgeons.

In a press release on June 15, the IDANSB stated that dental surgeons “have been rendering their services with all sincerity like any other doctors in frontline in fighting COVID-19 Pandemic,” engaging in surveillance, rapid task force, screening the returnees from outside, working in compliance with the government orders, SOPs, and various guidelines issued by the Government as well as performing duties in isolation wards along with other doctors in COVID hospitals. It also reminded the state government of the need of the dental services in both rural and urban areas post COVID,  while adding that dental surgeons are very much part of the health care system. As such, it appealed the government to consider post creation for dental surgeons.

Further, the IDANSB appealed to the government to do justice to NHM employees by addressing their demands for parity for pay (equal pay for equal work) and all basic employee benefits in line with the state Health & Family Welfare employees.

It also appealed to the government and concerned authorities to provide fair and equal opportunity to all deserving qualified candidates while recruiting to fill in the created / vacant post.
