Christmas, Christmas, Christmas, all is said and done and it’s passed with the time. It sounds so good and I wish that we could hold and saved it all the time. But, things have to go on according with the order that was destined. And now I wonder how we have lived or earned anything out of it (something to be pondering upon).
Everything changes but do we? Of course not, I think we are the same and that is something to talk about, I mean the attitude of always being late for everything. Late for any scheduled time but for now lets just leave aside of being late for appointments, meetings, works (oops! I’m sorry for that) but ‘not again’ getting late for church service (oh! oh!) it’s amazing!! Something is wrong with us (I think) and if it’s not so, then what is happening? Leaving aside the regular Sundays but so sad, on Christmas too? (Not again, please). I have being one of the many who witness all these all the time but one thing that’s really annoying is reaching the service when half of the programme is over or I should rather say the service is almost finish. Maybe we were so enthusiastic that we reach a bit too early for next year, instead of being late, rite? Come on it was Christmas; you should have at least reached on time for that special day if not on regular Sundays. We always get the latest, branded vehicles before others could, which helps us to reach the church within five minutes but did you know that your five minutes was too late, for you were more than half an hour late or the service was almost over? Another thing is we tend to attend late and leave even before the benediction is over (we see you ever time you sneak out, bad manners). I thought that since everyone waited so eagerly for Christmas we’ll be in time but we are not used to this kind of thing, we are standard people and we only knows how to disturb when we walk in during the middle service (we should go back to school again and learn the lesson of punctuality, what do you say guys?).
You know I’m writing this for it’s so annoying to see all these happening and that too by the so called Christians or believers (ridiculous) and I being one of the many volunteers that helped you find a seat. Further, are we stupid to expect a nice seat when we just reach the service by half an hour late? Just because we are one of the volunteer, it doesn’t mean that you will get ready made sofa seat reserved for you. Be on time if you need one and who knows unexpectedly you may get a much better one. And….. One thing, are we always late because we don’t have a watch? Or can I say we can’t afford one, hope we are not in that situation (why am I saying this, we have all the fashionable dresses!!!). The quote “Little learning is dangerous” rightly fits here once more when I talk something about traffic. Poor guys, I see them suffers in the hands of some of the immature people (can I say driver?), those everything they know creates the whole problem afterward (at least obey what volunteers says sometimes). I wonder what God will be thinking seeing all these, maybe preparing and studying very hard for a goooooooood punishment and are we ready to face God’s anger or can we bear his punishment? (Be ready for the consequences). I can say it’s very disgusting witnessing all these from the so called Christian doing this and I often wonder what other believers might be thinking about us for I know we Christian are respected for what we are (let’s keep our dignity alive) and be a living example for others (try to be one, if not in reality).
At last, New Year is fast approaching and we are planning the entire fear factor thing but seriously if you are one of those people coming to Church just be on time for that’s a better way to start a New Year (better because a nice seat if not a sofa seat) and that’s what we expect each one of us should do. Sometimes, truth is something really hard to digest but can’t help it. So, change it if you don’t like but don’t complain about it (fact is fact). Lastly, as one of the saying goes - all is well that’s end well, so shall that be done and what more do we need if that is found in us. So, let this coming New Year be a good (oops!), a better one, HAPPY NEW YEAR.
