Wokha DPDB meets for Nov; focuses on departmental activities
Wokha, November 8 (MExN): Asserting that implementation of government projects, schemes and activities are aimed at uplifting the economic status of the people, Advisor for IT, Science & Technology and NRE, Mmhonlumo Kikon urged all the departments to implement their activities judiciously.
The Advisor was speaking at the Wokha District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting held on November 8 at Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall, Wokha with Vice Chairman DPDB Wokha & Deputy Commissioner, Wokha Orenthung Lotha chairing the meeting.
Kikon advised all the departments to implement activities in convergence with other line departments to avoid duplication of works. While selecting the projects, he urged the concerned departments to select the location on priority basis so that the particular project would boost economic viability of the concerned area. He further assured all the departments that the board will extend full cooperation for the successful implementation of projects and schemes for the benefit of the people.
Meanwhile, Advisor, Horticulture & Border Affairs, Mhathung Yanthan called upon all the departments to be actively involved in any developmental activities, a DIPR report stated.
Earlier, new member of the board, ACF (Forest) Wokha, SiechuthoKatiry was introduced while the department of Rural Development, District Executive Force (Police), Irrigation/Water Resource presented their departmental activities in the meeting.
