Impur, June 3 (MExN): “In view of the need of general patients during this moment of COVID infection and to support the overburdened workload of Health Care Services of the State Government, the Impur Christian Hospital (ICH) has decided to provide free treatment in the hospital with immediate effect,” informed an update from Dr Sashimeren Aier, Chairman of Trustee, ICH and Rev Dr Mar Pongener, Executive Secretary, ABAM.
All the registration, consultation and hospital charges will be completely free.
It also informed that the hospital is empanelled under Ayushman Bharat and therefore, all medicine and treatment charges will be also free for those patients having the card.
According to the ICH website, the hospital has pioneered on healing ministry and nurturing it since 1912 under the supervision of Dr JR Bailey, a renowned American Medical Missionary. It reports that ICH has been one of the best hospitals in the region and providing enormous services for the people of Mokokchung, Tuensang, Longleng, Zunheboto and Mon districts.
Today, along with its branch of Diagnostic Centre at Mokokchung town equipped with laboratory, X-ray, ECG, Endoscopy and pharmacy, the ICH has been doing a lot of charitable works for the needy and has been conducting free medical camps in the interior villages of the above mentioned districts.
The Hospital has also a unit of Integrated Counseling and Testing Centre (ICTC) sponsored by the Nagaland AIDS Control Society, through which the ICH provides free HIV blood testing and counselling facilities. Apart from those facilities, it has also a Palliative Care Centre, which was inaugurated on September 28, 2017.
