DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 20 (MExN): For the first time, Chartered Accountant Examinations will be conducted in Nagaland from November 21 to December 14 at Dimapur. Dimapur Government College, Oriental Colony, Dimapur has been chosen as the examination centre.
A press release from Ajit Jain, Coordinator cum Observer for the exams in the State, informed conduct of these exams will “directly benefit the students of Nagaland who otherwise had to take the trouble of going to other cities to appear for these examinations.” It has become especially expedient in the face of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI) meanwhile lauded Jain for working for the last 3-4 months in order to enable the conduct of the CA exams in Dimapur. The ICAI is a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament viz The Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 (No. 38 of 1949) for regulating the profession of Chartered Accountants in India.
The examinations are being conducted strictly in compliance with the Guidelines bearing No. 40-3/2020-DM-I(A) dated September 30, 2020 issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs for social distancing and containment of Covid-19 in the Country.
