Incorruptible:
• At this moment we need people are incorruptible. Nagaland is facing acute corruption which is destroying our society. In 2026, we need to keep repeating incorruptible as a defining goal for Nagas. Incorruptible is not only about finance, it is about our social, cultural, and political incorruptness.
• Just a glance across the state shows how deep the corruption has crept in all spaces - Physical, moral, spiritual, religious and governance.
• Nagaland is a leading state in corruption. But it is so difficult to address this because corruption in Nagaland is not just systemic and political. Over the years, corruption in Nagaland has become socially acceptable in the name of doing something for your clan, village, or tribe. Even the churches have become silent on this social disease. We need honest and sincere people standing up. This is why I vote for incorruptible as the main word to define Nagaland’s path forward.
• Nagaland needs peace, good governance, development, employment, and many other adjectives. But as a first step it needs incorruptible leaders, incorruptible civil society, incorruptible church, and incorruptible public. This is why I feel incorruptible should be the defining word for the way forward.
• We have to be incorruptible to ourselves, our people, our habits and our society then Nagas will start to the forward path.
• Widespread corruption in politics and society must stop
Creativity:
• I would say creativity should define Nagaland's path forward in 2026. The creative economy initiated by the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland can be seen as promising as it tries to leverage cultural heritage to a more progressive and economically driven plan. Nagaland is blessed with unique and interesting cultural heritage and biodiversity. So creativity in opening tourist hot-spots for sightseeing, handicrafts, textiles, culinary and music can be harnessed to sustainable livelihood and enterprises. We can become a self-reliant state from dependency only and when we apply our creativity in more economy-driven ideas.
