
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 26 (MExN): An agreement was inked between the Department of Posts, India and Ilandlo Services Pvt Ltd, Dimapur, an e-Commerce company based in Dimapur today in the chamber of the Postmaster General, NE-II Region for booking/transmission of their articles/parcels through Speed Post under Book Now Pay Later (BNPL) Scheme.
A press release from the Post Master General informed that under this scheme, a customer in agreement with the department can book their articles on credit which can be remitted at the end of the month. Further, pick-up facility from the premises of the customer is provided subject to fulfillment of certain criteria. A volume based discount is also available to the customers.
The press release stated that this will help the local based e-Commerce companies to send their goods pan-India with the Department of Post (India Post) as their partner. Customer Grievance Cell will also assist in their day to day complaints.
The function where the agreement was followed by a press conference by Som Kamei, PMG, NE-II, who highlighted the improved delivery services of India Post by use of technology like track & trace system. He also highlighted the banking potential of India Post Payment Bank and informed that 40 Post Offices are now on Core Banking System in Nagaland.
