An inter college extempore speech competition was held at City Law College, Dimapur on August 25.

Dimapur, August 26 (MExN): ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA), as part of the Child Friendly City Initiatives Dimapur-Chomoükedima, commenced a Youth and Civil Society Organizations’ campaign on June 17 last.
As part of the campaign, an inter college extempore speech competition was held on the topic, ‘One step towards creating clean and safe environment for children’ at City Law College, Dimapur on August 25.
The main objective of organizing the competition was to bring the youth together in an open platform and provide an opportunity to express their views and strategies towards creating clean and safe environment for the children, stated a press release received here.
The 25 students-participants represented 13 colleges in and around Dimapur participated in the competition. Khrorite-ü from Tetso College emerged as the winner, Limayala Aier from Patkai Christian College won the first runners up while Medemien Lemtor from Unity College bagged as second runner-up.
The winners were awarded with trophies and certificates while cash award sponsored by Team Better Dimapur was also handed over. Consolation prizes with certificates were awarded to all the participants.
The judges for the competition were Dr T Limanochet Jamir, Principal, City Law College, Vitono Gugu Haralu, spokesperson and Secretary, Exotic Echo Society, Radio Jockey, Community Radio and Mhonjan Humtsoe, President, Team Better Dimapur.
Earlier, welcome address was delivered by Advocate Elizabeth Thungjanbeni Ezung, Assistant Professor, City Law College. Garrol Lotha, Project Coordinator, Child Friendly Dimapur, AIDA, briefed on the concept of youth and Civil Society Organization campaign 2023. Shemang S Phom, Child Mobilization Officer, CFD, AIDA delivered the vote of thanks. The programme was moderated by Gaisanglung, Civil Society Mobilization Officer, CFD, AIDA.
