Kohima, September 3 (MExN): In view of the unprecedented monsoon disaster that the state has faced, an Inter Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) will be visiting the state from September 4 to 7.
Headed by K B Singh, Joint Secretary, MHA, GoI, the team will be doing an ‘on–the-spot-assessment’ of the disasters caused by landslides and floods in the state.
The NSDMA along with the DDMAs and officials from all the line departments will take the team to the worst affected areas for assessment of the monsoon damage.
A debriefing programme of IMCT will take place on September 6 at 7:30 PM at Hotel Vivor Kohima. Respective district disasters management authorities will present the damage reports while a brief representation of NDRF memorandum 2018 will be made by Johnny Ruangmei, OSD, Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority. Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will also make his comment at the debriefing session.
