NSF officials said various issues confronting the residents of Assam-Nagaland border were discussed at length during the meeting.
NSF President, Ninoto Awomi said the delegates deliberated on how to strengthen the relationship between the two neighbouring states and resolve any differences that may exist through mutual understanding.
“We have also discussed to further maintain a bond of unity and friendship, and to promote peaceful coexistence between our people through cultural exchanges,” added Awomi.
Although no formal resolutions were adopted, the three organisations were stated to have agreed in principle to work collectively in the interest of the people of the two states which have had recurrent differences over border issues.
