IVR chairman on land allotment to Naga Ex UG

Dimapur, August 26 (MExN): The Head GB cum Chairman of Industrial Village Razhüphe (IVR), Dimapur TL Angami in a press release stated that after declaration of General Amnesty during 1964 the Government requested Naga UG to come home and rest in peace and accordingly many Naga UG came back home. During those days, many Ex UG got their rehabilitation from the Government.

However, some of the genuine Ex UG who came over-ground after the Government called them back could not get any rehabilitation from the Government. Out of which good numbers of Ex UG applied for land allotment for their shelter and their cases were recommended and sent to the ‘undersigned’ (TL Angami) by DC’s in Nagaland from various district level and after receipts of those applications the ‘undersigned’ considered those cases and allotted an area of Village land which is yet to be acquired by the government about 30 acres to those Ex UG for their rehabilitations in order to meet the policy of the Government.

Further, TL Angami added that while the allottees of those Ex UG were supposed to take possession over the area of their allotted and within the Industrial Village Razhuphe, Dimapur, Nagaland NIDC Department interfered over the said area of village land and damaged the structure/houses raised by those Ex UG khellers without due process of law. For which the Ex UG khellers filed a case against the NIDC in the High Court and the same case is now kept pending for disposal in the Court of N. Suyie Civil Judge Senior Division, Dimapur in Civil Misc Case NO.29/10 IN TITLE SUIT NO.2/2005. He also alleged in the release that while the case is pending in the Court, NIDC, their workmen and their agent took law into their hand and fell down trees and started to raise structure/house in several places over the said area of suit land.

Therefore, with the direction given by the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Moangwati Aier on 14-06-10 the Plaintiffs/Petitioners filed an application before the said Court praying for issue of temporary injunction under 0.39 Rule I of CPC in C/W Ts-02/05 for issue of restrainment order against the Government-Defendant/Opposite Parties, their men, their workmen, agents and representatives from doing any unwarranted and illegal activities over the said suit land till the pending of the instant suit is finalized. And accordingly restrained order has been issued on 12/07/10 against the NIDC and their men, agent and other
opposite parties.
