JCCV suspends agitation

Dimapur, May 4 (MExN): Following the commitment given by the Deputy Commissioner, Chümoukedima, to facilitate and pursue the demands of the Joint Co-ordination Committee of Villages for Dimapur district, the Committee has decided to suspend its ongoing agitation. A decision to this effect was taken during its executive meeting with the Committee resolving to suspend the ongoing agitation of locking of Dhansiripar based Government Offices and proposed bandh of State highway with immediate effect, for enabling peaceful and amicable solution, JCCV Convenor LK Swu and Co-convenor Tsithrongse Sangtam informed in a press release on Wednesday. It further acknowledged Chümoukedima Deputy Commissioner Abhinav Shivam for his undertaking to pursue the matter vigorously in the interest of the public.
