Dimapur, March 17 (MExN): The Joint Committee for Prevention of Illegal Immigrants (JCPI) on Wednesday informed that as per its March 12 resolution on ILP/RIIN, there will be a peaceful rally and submission of representations in Kohima and Dimapur on March 19.
As for the other districts headquarters, the JCPI has appealed to each tribal apex bodies to exercise their own wisdom and make a representation to the Government of Nagaland through their respective DCs.
JCPI further appealed to all the Dimapur based tribal bodies and CSOs to send their participants to the DC Court junction by 10:00 am on March 19.
After marching to the DC's Office, the representation shall be submitted to the Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, it informed.
All major tribes have been requested to send 200 participants each while the Naga Tribal Union Chümoukedima Town (NTUCT) has also been requested to send 200 of their collective participants. Other tribes and CSOs have also been requested to send at least 50 participants each.
It will be a show of support and solidarity to wear one’s traditional attire, it added.
