Candidates fill out the form during the DB Job Fair 2026 held at the Salesian College of Higher Education in Dimapur on August 1.
Dimapur, August 1 (MExN): The AIDA–Don Bosco Job Placement Network (DB JPN), Dimapur, in collaboration with Salesian College of Higher Education, organised the DB Job Fair 2026 on August 1, with 36 candidates shortlisted for the next stage of recruitment.
The job fair was held at the Salesian College of Higher Education, Kuda Village, Half Nagarjan, and was organised in collaboration with the Salesian Cooperators–Dimapur Province, Don Bosco Youth Educational Services (DBYES) Dimapur Province, the District Employment Exchange (Model Career Centre), Dimapur, the National Career Service Centre (NCSC) for SC/ST, Kohima, and the NCSC for Differently Abled, Dimapur.
The event aimed to bridge the gap between employers and job seekers by providing a platform for candidates to interact directly with recruiters, attend interviews and explore employment opportunities across different sectors. It also sought to promote youth employment by providing access to jobs within Nagaland, other parts of India and selected international opportunities.
Around 70 job seekers from different districts of Nagaland and neighbouring states registered for the event. Participants included fresh postgraduates, graduates, diploma holders, skilled professionals and individuals seeking career advancement.
The programme began with the registration of candidates, followed by an orientation session conducted by the organising team on the recruitment process, interview etiquette, employer expectations and available career opportunities.
Recruitment was conducted by several organisations representing diverse sectors, including Talent Acquaintance Employment Providers, Reliance Jio, Flywayy Dimapur, SBI Life Insurance, Ohaa International School and Tolins Tyres Pvt Ltd.
While most recruiters conducted face-to-face interviews at the venue, Ohaa International School and Tolins Tyres Pvt Ltd held interviews through online platforms, allowing candidates to participate in virtual recruitment processes.
During the programme, candidates submitted resumes, attended multiple interviews, interacted with human resource representatives and received guidance on career growth and workplace expectations.
Vacancies were offered in telecommunications, sales and marketing, customer service, insurance, education, manufacturing, technical support and administrative roles.
The organisers said the job fair concluded with 36 candidates being shortlisted by participating employers for the next stages of the recruitment process. They added that the event also strengthened networking among employers, educational institutions and placement agencies, creating opportunities for future collaborations.
On behalf of AIDA Executive Director and Chief Functionary Rev. Fr. Dr Roy George SDB, Regional Coordinator of AIDA–Don Bosco Job Placement Network Sebi Chacko expressed appreciation to Salesian College of Higher Education Principal Rev. Fr. Dr Paul Panii SDB for hosting the event and supporting its successful conduct.
He also acknowledged the contributions of collaborating organisations, participating employers, faculty members, student volunteers, support staff and job seekers, stating that the fair reflected AIDA–DB JPN's continued commitment to promoting youth employability, strengthening industry partnerships and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for young people in Northeast India.
