Dimapur, September 29 (MExN): The Joint Council of Purana Bazar East Dimapur has reiterated its September 3, 2022 resolution where the Council gave seven days to stop/close down the shops engaged with sale of substances abuse, alcohol/drugs and all other illegal prohibited items. They council also gave notice to the house owner of the tenants, for prohibiting the sale of alcohol and other illegal prohibited items by the tenants, stated a press release from the council.
“Failure of closing down such businesses within the given time period, i.e., seven days, the Joint Council shall take necessary actions as per the resolution of September 3, 2022,” it stated.
Further, it cautioned outsiders, that if found in dealing with any illegal activities within the jurisdiction of Purana Bazar, the Council will take necessary actions as per the resolution.
It may be stated that the council undertook a public rally on September 24, to eradicate the sale of substances abuse, alcohol/drugs and all other illegal prohibited items.
