Aizüto, November 9 (MExN): A 50-year golden jubilee memorial building, commemorating “God’s faithfulness and undying love towards the Pastoral community,” was inaugurated at Aizüto Mission Centre on November 4.
The building was unveiled and dedicated to God’s glory by Rev Mulato Chishi, Executive Secretary, Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (SBAK).
As per a press release from the SBAK Media Cell, Chishi termed the construction of Jubilee memorial building as “historic achievement” and first of its kind in SBAK history.
He further noted that Aizüto is a pilgrimage Christian centre in Nagaland and had hosted several American Missionaries, including last American Missionary RF Delano in 1955, it said.
The American Missionaries established four strategic mission centre and Aizüto is one among them, he added, while maintaining that good infrastructural progress is necessity the centre hosts different guests due to its historical significance.
Meanwhile, speaking on the occasion, the chairman of the Sümi Baptist Pastors’ Conference, Mughaho Awomi stated that the 4-BHK house was constructed from the contributions brought forward by the church leaders and churches under SBAK.
He also expressed happiness that the Pastoral community was able to contribute towards the infrastructural progress of Aizüto mission centre and handed over the buidling’s key to SBAK to be used for centre staff residence.
The dedication programme was chaired by Ino Kiyelu Yeptho, Pastor Shotomi Baptist Church while Lokobomi Baptist Church sang a dedicatory song. It was attended by SBAK Staff, Anderson Theological College, Aizüto citizens and invitees from various walks of life, the release said.
Later, a dedicatory feast was sponsored by Centre Baptist Church, Aizüto.
