DIMAPUR, JULY 15 (MExN): The National Socialist Council of Nagaland Khaplang has stated it will always observe June 7th as a black day in the history of the Naga National Movement for self determination and that “whatsoever may be the reason, it was unfortunate for the Naga people”. “This was a day of betrayal and national treason of highest order by Mr. Kitovi and Mr. Khole”, informed a press note issued by Secretary MIP.
Stating that it “shall never be discouraged by the activities of Khole and Kitovi” who were described as “completely under the control of the Indian agencies”, the MIP note pointed out that India knew that, chairman S.S. Khaplang with his complete control over the land and people of entire eastern Nagaland is the backbone of the Naga National Movement and without him the Naga National Movement will die its own death. “Therefore they have been actively pursuing to create a division among the Naga family and fortunately, they have also found a friend by the name of Khole and Kitovi to execute their game plan”, the MIP note stated.
The press note stated that calling chairman S.S. Khaplang a Burmese or a Chinese under whose leadership they has served all through their life was “nothing but sowing seeds of division on behalf of the Indian agencies”. As such the NSCN Khaplang stated that one should not be “surprised by what they say because they are the direct agents of the Indian agencies in the garb of a nationalist” and that rather “let us be extra careful and extra cautious in what they say and what we have to listen.
The MIP note pointed out that the Naga people would have to “examine properly the underhand activities of the occupational forces to weaken the National movement and must keep our eyes and ears open from those forces, who are active in our midst to hijack the National issue and sell out the Sovereign rights of the Nagas”. “For many people, national movement has become a source of earning, a platform to collect honor and dignity, a place to achieve their selfish agenda and hence, once there objective is achieved they starts showing their true color”.
Stating that Nagas are by birth nationalist the press note added that “we all know how much we love our country and how much our motherland is dear to us”. “In the past our parents and grand- parents had to suffer untold suffering in the hands of the occupational forces on both the sides of the country because they never wanted to part with their land and hence vowed to fight back tooth and nail and we are trying to put our best to continue the legacy that our parents has left for us and wanted to fulfill those dreams that we every Naga cherished so dearly in our hearts”, the MIP note stated while urging that we should not be disheartened with few people who on the advice of the “inimical forces, just in order to fulfill their selfish desire is hell bent to sell out the rights of the Nagas”. “Let us rather safeguard the historical and political rights of the Nagas jealously from those opportunist and betrayers of the Nation”.
Reminding that the NSCN Khaplang had “vowed to reconcile as per the historical and political rights of the Nagas”, it asked “Shall we just ask ourselves once as to what those historical and political rights are?” “Or has we forgotten the days when our wife and children were raped and molested by the Indian forces. Have we forgotten those days when our houses and granaries were burnt down to ashes mercilessly, have we forgotten the days when our pregnant mothers have to go for early labour because of the mental and physical atrocities committed on them, have we forgotten those days when our daughters were molested to satiate their sexual desire?” it stated while pointing out that “if Mr. Kitovi and Khole are happy to be paid for those rape and torture inflicted on our wife and children and the suffering the Naga people underwent than, it is the Naga people the real sufferers for the national cause who will decide”.
Stating that its “fight is not against NSCN (IM) nor do our movement was for reconciliation”, it pointed out that “we started with an aim to free our motherland from the occupational forces and nothing less than that but today we end up with division and criticism and counter criticism, which is not at all healthy for our people and the national struggle”.
Pointing out that the “31 points of charter demand placed by the NSCN (IM) before the GOI is the result of the assurances that was given to Muivah than, by some Indian agencies in return for delinking himself from the eastern Nagaland and he did that”. “Thus, this move by Kitovi and Khole is no different. Muivah wanted a quick and fast solution within the Indian constitution leaving aside the eastern Nagaland so also Kitovi and Khole had been hooked with that same policy where in they have been shown the same dream”.
The NSCN Khaplang also stated that for “them sovereignty is no more a priority or an issue” and that the “sacrifices of thousands of Naga army for the sovereign cause of the nation are today exchanged for a few facilities within the Indian constitution”. “May I appeal to Mr. Kitovi and Khole, that, if they at all want to surrender and get some benefits for themselves do so without standing as a hindrances to the people who want to see a free and liberated Naga Homeland or else they are asked to clear their position and give explanation to the masses why so much of Naga souls were sacrificed if not for a sovereignty?”
Stating that it had “taken serious note on calling Chairman S.S. Khaplang as Burmese by Mr. Kitovi and Khole and the MIP secretary of the break away group”, the press note pointed out that the “anti Naga and the anti National people will not go unpunished and will never be forgiven for the highest treason they has made”. “Even their children and children’s- children will be held accountable for their mistake”. It also reminded that the “current ceasefire is signed in between GOI and the Naga Political group NSCN (K) under the leadership of chairman S.S.Khaplang”. “What on earth are these rascals trying to project themselves when they have no issue with the GOI”.
