KCCI calls off proposed shop closure

Dimapur, August 22 (MExN): The Kohima Chamber of Commerce & Industry has called off its proposed indefinite closure of shops in Kohima following the Kohima police apologizing and assurances given by the Superintendent of Police of Kohima to ‘look into the matter’. “After a series of meetings with the district administration and the police, and assurance made thereof, the KCCI in a general body meeting comprising of aggrieved traders, area and market representatives and the officials, after deliberating on the issue in depth decided to call off the closure of shops, with the talks having progressed in the right direction,” the KCCI informed in a note today.
