Keneikhirie Peli celebrate 25 years of Chaprü

The silver jubilee celebration of Chaprü-cum-inauguration of Lhouphi Sorhie Rülei Ki and Keneikhrie Peli Road under the aegis of Keneikhrie Peli No 12 of T Khel, Kohima village took place on Saturday at Chaprü, Sepfüzou Colony, Kohima.

Chaprü (Resting place) was built by Keneikhirie Peli in 1996.

MLA Khriehu Liezietsu and Kohima Village Council Chairperson Helievio Solo inaugurated Lhoupi Sorhie Rülei Ki and Keneikhrie Peli road respectively.

Lhouphi Sorhie Rülei Ki was constructed by Keneikhrie Peli No 12 in commemoration of Chaprü silver jubilee celebration in recognition of the generous contribution made by the land donor.

Speaking on the occasion, Liezietsu congratulated Keneikhrie Peli for their commendable services towards the community. He also stressed on the need to strengthen unity and better understanding among the community. He also told the gathering to understand the difference between traditional practices and religion.

Earlier, the function witnessed land owner message from Neisazo Sorhie.

Peli Pehü address was delivered by Kekhrievilhou Solo while Chaprü and jubilee activity was highlighted by Thepfuhulie Belho, co-convenor organizing committee.

Methaneilie Jütakhrie Solo presented a special number during the function which was compèred by Pelevizo Solo.
