
Kidima, December 7 (MExN): St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, the first established by Jesuits Mission amongst North East India was blessed by Most Reverend Dr James Thoppil, Bishop of Kohima and formally inaugurated by Reverend Father Raymond D' Souza SJ, Director of Eden Gardens Children's Home, Khuzama, under the theme “My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations” (St Mark 11:17) with Bishop as Main Celebrant on December 5.
A press note stated here that Bishop James Thoppil expressed gratitude to the benefactors especially Aid to the Church in Need ACN International, Germany, to Fr Raymond D'Souza SJ and Parish Priest, Siby John. God grace dwells in the Church whether big or small.
Bishop addressing in the occasion said, “Church is a symbol and closeness to God that is how people take a pride of important place. Bishop Thoppil said the best building in Nagaland were Church as like a land of festivals in the state. Kidima Catholic Church took around five years for completion urged the people to manifest Christ and in their body was a temple of the living God.” In the homily, he reminded to love the people of God that revealed Lord in us.
