Kiphire, December 10 (MExN): District Task Force on COVID-19 Vaccines and District Task Force on Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization conducted a meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Kiphire on December 10.
Making a presentation on COVID-19 vaccines, Dr Pewezo Khalo, DPO (RCH/UIP) informed the district has identified 546 beneficiaries which were uploaded in the portal successfully. He mentioned that the beneficiaries for COVID-19 vaccines comprised of all the frontline health workers, including ASHAs and Anganwadi workers. “The roll-out of COVID-19 vaccines in the district will begin upon availability of the vaccine,” it was informed.
Meanwhile, Dr Khalo gave a micro plan presentation on Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization, during which bottleneck issues about immunization were discussed, to which, the DC Kiphire, Ajit Kumar Ranjan (IAS) assured to extend all possible assistance.
In a press release, Haichikambe Pame, District Media Officer, CMO Office Kiphire said that the members present interacted on its implementation in the district. The DC encouraged the members to extend cooperation towards the success of the vaccination by working on timeline.
