
Kiphire, December 2 (MExN): The District Task Force on COVID-19 has decided to erect check post at Longmatra, Yangzitong and Anatonger to check vaccine certificate. The decision was taken at the DTF meeting conducted on December 2 at DC Office Conference hall, under the Chairmanship of DC & Chairman, DTF, T Wati Aier, stated a DIPR report.
This was decided, w.e.f December 6, as the Kiphire district remains lowest percentage rate in Covid-19 vaccination in the state. The members decided ‘no entry without vaccine certificate’ and testing result at DC office and banks. The members decided to impose spot fine of Rs 200 without mask at schools, colleges, market place, shopkeepers and travellers.
Earlier, the DC said that the administration and medical team had visited villages, door to door spreading awareness and importance of COVID-19, despite all effort Kiphire district remains lowest vaccination rate on COVID-19. Therefore, the DC urged the members to put all effort and spread awareness on COVID-19 to all the people to be safe from the virus. He said everyone must be ready for the 3rd wave by maintaining all precautionary measures.
CMO and DIO also highlighted the activities and shared strategies for successful implementation of vaccination drive.
