Kiphire, December 16 (MExN): The common graveyard was inaugurated at Kiphire town by MLA & Chairman DPDB, T Yangseo Sangtam on December 15.
A DIPR report stated that addressing the gathering, Yangseo said the common graveyard was completed through the initiative and co-operation of the people of Kiphire Town. He mentioned that earlier people faced hardship for burials as there was no road connectivity towards the graveyard. Yangseo urged the people of Kiphire to maintain hygiene and keep the surroundings clean. He thanked to all the land donors, resting shed donor and all the initiators for the successful mission. The certificate of appreciation to the land donors and resting shed donor was handed over by the MLA.
Welcome address was delivered by Chairman, Kiphire Town Wards, Lesithrong while vote of thanks was proposed by Secretary, Common Graveyard, Dr H Apise. The programme was hosted by Alison, President Baptist Pastors’ Fellowship Kiphire Town and it was attended by tribal hohos of USLP, ESH,TTC, Pastors, GBs, Hindu & Muslim Community and ward leaders.
