Kiphire, February 28 (MExN): Zisaji Presidency College, Kiphire conducted a two-day National workshop on ‘Economic Livelihood of Youth’ from February 25 to 26.
Sponsored by the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, the workshop was held with Prof Dr Sibnath Deb, Director, RGNYID and Prof Vasanthi Rajendram from RGNIYD as Chief Guests for the inaugural session and valedictory programme respectively.
Altogether, 9 technical sessions were held for the 120 students who participated in the workshop.
Dheeraj Gurung, Accounts Officer, SBI Kiphire spoke on the topic ‘Start Up, Stand Up, Make in India and Mudra Scheme of Government of India’.
N Zuben Odyuo, Functional Manager, DIC Kiphire spoke on the topic ‘Developing SSI in Nagaland’ while Xavier Sangtam, Computer Instructor spoke on ‘Basic Computer Skills & Social Networking for Entrepreneurship’.
Major Vishal Venugopal from 7AR Kiphire gave a presentation on ‘Career in Armed Forces’ and the technical session for Day 1 was wrapped up by Sr Scientist, KVK Kiphire, N Khumdemo Ezung who spoke on the topic ‘Integrated Farming as a Livelihood Option’.
The speakers for the technical sessions on Day 2 were Prof Nigamananda Das, Former Dean, SSS, N.U who spoke on the topic ‘Effective Language Use & Soft Skills’ and Dr Jasojit Debnath, Asst Professor, Dept of Commerce, NU who spoke on ‘Entrepreneurship Development’.
Dr Amarnath Kumar, Assistant Prof, Dept of Commerce, NU presented a topic on ‘Preparation and Maintenance of Accounts and Formulation of Project’ and the final session was concluded by Rajesh Kumar, IFS, DFO Kiphire who spoke on the topic ‘Career in Public and Private Sectors, Forest and Environment’.
Dr Purna Chandra Mishra, Principal-In charge, presented the report and thanked the RGNIYD for sponsoring the workshop.
