Kiphre DC cautions HoDs for skipping DPDB meeting

Kiphire Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman, DPDB, Kiphire Sarita Yadav, IAS, has expressed disappointment at HoDs in the district regularly skipping the monthly DPDB meetings. 


Chairing the DPDB meeting for this month on March 13, the DC noticed that only a handful of HoDs were present. 
The DC informed that she will be writing to the Chief Secretary and respective Principal Secretaries to initiate action against those HoDs not attending DPDB meetings. 


The DC remarked that if HoDs are not even concerned to attend monthly DPDB meeting in the district HQ, how can people expect the 'Aspirational District' to progress. 


She pointed out that the absence of HoDs send a wrong message to the subordinate staff. 


ADC, Pungro, Abhinav Shivam IAS also shared his grievances on the negligence on duties by the officers in Pungro. He said that most of the offices are running without any officers, and some of the officers are not performing their duties for more than three to four months. He lamented that with this kind of officers the district cannot go ahead.
The DC, carrying on with the meeting, informed that the census will commence from May 20 and asked all HoDs to extend cooperation to the exercise. 


Further she asked all HoDs to submit polling personnel and staff list to the Election Office by March 16 for the upcoming by-election for Pungro-Kiphire 60 A/C.


The DPDB was constitued by the government to augment development and put up project proposals to the government for the development of districts. However, with the poor attendance of HoDs, the meeting was only held for 30 minutes. 


Meanwhile the Medical Superintendent, Kiphire briefed the house regarding the latest status about the Corona Virus (Covid-19). She highlighted about the seriousness of Covid -19 which is rapidly spreading across the globe. She also informed on preventive measures like maintaining personal hygiene, proper hand washing with soap and use of masks. The Medical Superintendent however stressed that the people should not panic.
