KLC conducts legal literacy and awareness in Colleges

Dimapur, July 29 (MExN): Kohima Law College conducted legal literacy & awareness in Colleges, in collaboration with Nagaland Legal Services Authority & Nagaland Voluntary Consumers' Organization (NVCO). The awareness was conducted in Colleges including Mt. Olive College, Kohima, Alder College College Kohima, Mountain View Christian College Kohima, Kohima Arts College, Kohima Baptist College, Loyola School Jakhama and Tyrannus Boys Hostel Jakhama (TBHJ) and another programme to be conducted at Japfü Christian College Kigwema on July 30.
Kezhokhoto Savi, lecturer of Kohima Law College and also president of Rotary Club Kohima was the main speaker, along with five students as resource persons in each college. Various topics were presented during the conduct of the campaign such as consumer rights, FIR, Affidavit, Domestic violence against women, RTI, legal services authority & free legal aid to poor, RTE, environment & sanitation, Juvenile (Care & Protection of children), disaster management, etc.  Students have also actively participated during the interactive session. It was beneficial to all the students as these are the topics very important for every citizen to know and to learn the basic laws is the need of the hour. Several booklets & pamphlets printed and published by the Nagaland Legal Services Authority were distributed to the students and few sets were given to their libraries.
