Kohima, December 11 (MExN): The Kohima College conducted one-day workshop on ‘Entrepreneurial Development: Make in India’ on December 10.
The programme was organised by IQAC, Kohima College Kohima and sponsored by Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RJNIYD), Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, Pennalur, Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, stated a press release issued by Mass Media Cell, Kohima College.
The inaugural session was chaired by Sungjeminla, Asst Professor, Department of English, Kohima College. The welcome address was delivered by Dr Ralimongla, Principal, Kohima College.
Delivering the keynote address, Prof Sibnath Deb, Director, RGNIYD Sriperumbadur, Tamil Nadu stated that though the pandemic has caused unprecedented problems to the whole human population, it has also taught us a good lesson -to be psychologically resilient for the rest of our lives; that this will equip us to handle crisis, and that Entrepreneurship is all about self-reliance.
He encouraged the participants to aspire for a future that contributes to national development. He stated that RGNIYD is inviting proposals for organising more programmes and will be pleased to sponsor any innovative projects as it has a mandate for development of youths in the North East.
The resource persons were Deep Jyoti Sonu Brahma, Founder & Director of Farm 2 Food Foundation, New Delhi; Lezo Putsure, Founder and Director of Edu North East Pvt Ltd; Neikepekho Shosahie, Management Consultant, Northeast Development Finance Cooperation Ltd. The workshop concluded with a valedictory address by Dr Vasanthi Rajendran, Professor Training (RGNIYD).
