Kohima, September 29 (MExN): The Department of Social Welfare under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) distributed IT equipment to Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima for the purpose of generating Unique Disability ID (UDID) card and soft data of the Persons with Disabilities.
Atoli Sema, Director, Social Welfare Department has informed that PwDs can register themselves at http://www.swavlambancard.gov.in or visit the hospital for registration or contact the State Coordinator (UDID) at 7005337521 for further information.
Scholarships for students with disabilities
Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) has opened the National Scholarship Portal for FY-2020-21 for applying online scholarship for 2020-21.
The online implementation of the following: Pre-Matric Scholarships for Class IX & X; Post-Matric Scholarships for Class XII to Post graduation; and Scholarship for top class Education for Graduate/Post Graduate degree or diploma in 241 notified institutions on National Scholarships Portal under the Umbrella Scheme -Scholarships for Students with Disabilities.
Last date for applying of scholarship by the students is October 31. The details of these schemes are available on the website (www.scholarships.gov.in)
