Kohima Diocese organises 50-hour chain prayer for frontline workers

Kohima, June 8 (MExN): The Diocese of Kohima with the support of its COVID-19 Task Force and Prayer Support Core Team has informed that it will be conducting a 50-hours chain of prayer with the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on June 9.

“The parishes and religious communities spread across the state of Nagaland will be taking part in this chain prayers and adoration praying for the frontline workers: doctors, nurses, health care workers, police personnel, civil authority, infected persons and all who are directly or indirectly involved in the fight against COVID 19 pandemic and also to seek God’s blessings upon the suffering humanity,” stated a press release from the Kohima Diocese on Tuesday.

The scheduled time for the chain adoration is from 10:00 am on June 9 to 12:00 noon on June 11. The conclusion of the fifty hours will be led by Most Reverend Dr James Thoppil, Bishop of Kohima in Cathedral from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon on June 11, it added. It also invited all citizens, irrespective of denominations and religions, to be part of the Prayer Chain through the Zoom link ID 81169280845 (Password: 784305).
