Kohima DTF takes up issues on COVID safety protocols

Kohima, June 29 (MExN): Kohima District Task Force for COVID-19 meeting took up various issues related to COVID activities and safety protocols and measures undertaken at different locations. 


The meeting held at Deputy Commissioner's Office chamber on July 29 chaired by DC and Chairman DTF, Gregory Thejawelie NCS, stated a DIPR report. 

 

Burning of used PPEs
On the issue of burning the used PPEs and waste disposal at NHAK, the DTF decided that KMC will arrange transportation for collection of waste and pit for disposal at the KMC dumping site Dzürüzou, Meriema provided that NHAK to arrange trained manpower to be put in place to handle the disposal. 


On the same issue at Oki Hotel, the meeting decided that the same protocol as of the NHAK can be followed.

 

BRTF leave returnees
In regard to BRTF leave returnees to the district, as requested by their Commander, the DTF decided to accommodate the returnees as and when their designated quarantine centre is fully occupied.

 

Present lockdown measure to continue 
The chairman also conveyed the decision of Cabinet meeting in regard to extension of lockdown till July 15 in the State and further informed that the present lockdown measures in the district will continue, which will be notified.

 

97 houses covered in Upper PWD colony 
CMO Dr Vezokholu informed the members that medical team stationed inside the containment zone at Upper PWD colony has till date covered 97 houses by obtaining all the necessary safety protocols for the safety of the colony people.

 

The meeting also recommended for release of returnees from Kohima, Zunheboto, Mokokchung, Phek, Tuensang, Wokha, Kiphire, and Longleng and from paid quarantine hotel to Chief Secretary for further approval.
