Kohima, June 3 (MExN): ‘Into the Wild (Vol I),’ a magazine containing conservation related articles, interviews and posters contributed by the community was launched by Nagaland Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) & Head of Forest Forces (HoFF) Dharmendra Prakash on Friday.
An initiative of the Kohima Forest Division, the magazine was conceptualized by Divisional Forest Officer, Kohima Rajkumar M. On the occasion, the DFO said that the Kohima Forest Division has collected articles from the community on conservation from different villages and contains interviews, posters, and articles contributed by the community. The DFO said that the division has been organising online competition during the past few years amid the pandemic and collecting articles, which has been included in the magazine.
According to a press release, Dharmendra Prakash congratulated the Division for the initiative and encouraged them to continue the good work. The PCCF expressed hope that the Department will come up with more magazines and articles in the days to come.
