Kohima Lotha Eloe Ekhung inducts new office bearers

Outgoing office bearers of KLEE (2019-2022) with the Chumchanbeni Kikon, Director, SCERT during the 30th annual general meeting of KLEE held at Kohima on November 27.

Kohima, November 27 (MExN): The 30th annual general meeting of Kohima Lotha Eloe Ekhung (KLEE) cum induction of new office bearers of KLEE for the term 2022-2024 was held at AMK Ki, Kohima on  November 27 with Director, SCERT, Chumchanbeni Kikon as the special guest. 

In her address, Kikon expressed her happiness and thanked the Almighty over the success and achievement of Lotha women in various fields during the last 30 years, since the beginning of KLEE in 1991. She exhorted the gathering about the importance of mastering skills in one’s life, as this will take one forward in life. She reminded all to retrospect on the importance of self-management, self awareness, social awareness, and relationship management as these are important tools to survive in a society. 

Kikon said that while working in a group, it is important to praise and acknowledge one another, so also to forgive one another, to keep the team spirit going. She called on the Lotha women to maintain relationship among themselves, to help one another in good and difficult times, and most importantly, to maintain quality relationship with God. 

The outgoing President, KLEE, Nzanbeni Kithan said that in recent years, Lothas are fortunate to have leaders who work for the general welfare and well-being of the community, and at present, Lothas are blessed to have three (3) women Heads of Departments working under the State Government. She thanked all for their cooperation and looked forward to working together in the days to come. The new President, KLEE, Renponi Ezung sought the prayers and blessings for the new team as they carry out their activities.

The programme was chaired by Rose Kikon, Joint Secretary, KLEE; invocation was offered by Renbeni Kikon, Eloe Esopvui, AG Church, Kohima; special folk song was presented by the Yachummaro Cultural Club; vote of thanks was delivered by Thungchanbeni Kikon, Vice-President, KLEE; and benediction was offered by Adeno Ezung, Eramoe, Lotha Catholic Khümshüm Kohima. Arhoni Kikon, Convenor welcomed the newly inducted office bearers of KLEE, who were blessed through prayers by Nyanchumi Kithan, Ex-Eloe Esopvui, KLBC. The programme was also attended by President, Kohima Lotha Hoho, Pankathung Tsanglao and his team, and a host of women from different walks of life. 

The newly inducted office bearers, led by President Renponi Ezung and General Secretary Ajanbeni Shitiri, will serve for the years 2022-2024.
