Kohima Ongpangkong Kaketshir Telongjem (KOKT) celebrated its silver jubilee under the theme ‘Foundation: Re-understanding’ at Molu Ki, Kohima on December 10.
Marking the existence of 25 years, KOKT has chosen the theme ‘Foundation: Re-understanding’ to re-understand its foundation and strive to excel in the field of education, culture and economic growth.
Addressing the celebration as the special guest, Nagaland Rural Development Minister Metsubo Jamir emphasized on the importance of quality education to cope with the competitive world. He challenged the students to have competitive spirit in their respective fields.
The main speaker of the celebration Imna Zulu Jamir, Associate Pastor Mission Kohima Ao Baptist Arogo urged the students to set their priorities and perspective right. Jamir challenged the students to set a short and long term goal and work hard to land into the targeted destination. He also called upon the students to maintain the highest standard of integrity.
The celebration also witnessed speeches from Kohima Ongpangkong Telongjem, Ongpangkong Kaketshir Mungdang and Kohima Ongpangkongtsiir Telongjem. KOKT president Emffu Longkumer delivered welcome address. KOKT’s first president Aoyanger Kichu also spoke on the occasion. Meanwhile, KOKT jubilee resolution was announced by Er Subongliba, convenor resolution committee while vote of thanks was proposed by Er Imsuyanger, Convenor, Planning Committee.
