Kohima, Cotober 13 (MExN): A Highway Patrolling Team of Kohima Police on Mobile Vehicle Check Post (MVCP) duty at Peducha intercepted a vehicle and detected 654 bottles of illegal codeine cough syrup on October 12. One person, identified as Lichithung Kithan of Yikhum village was arrested in this connection, a press note from Kohima Police PRO informed on Tuesday. The vehicle, an unregistered white Gypsy, along with the illegal drugs have also been seized, it said. A case has been registered at Sechü (Zubza) Police Station under relevant sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act for the purpose of further investigation, it added.
