Kohima Science College Jotsoma to host convocation ceremony

Kohima, November 27 (MExN): The Kohima Science College Jotsoma is all set to conduct its first convocation ceremony on November 30 at the college auditorium at 10:00 AM. Nagaland Higher Education & Tribal Affairs Minister Temjen Imna Along will grace the occasion.

With a vision “to develop the college into a research driven education hub of national and international repute,” the Kohima Science College Jotsoma was established in 1961.

Now, 60 years after its inception, and having been accredited Grade A in two consecutive cycles with CGPA of 3.05 and 3.42 respectively by the UGC- NAC, the college continues to make progress in both vertical and lateral directions.

Over a hundred faculty members cater to about 2000 students in twelve BSc/BA, seven MSc and five PhD programme of study. The college aspires to engage in improving the standards of science education in the state and to generate value-based knowledge.

As Nagaland’s only college to offer PhD. programme and the only Autonomous Government P.G. College in the state, Kohima Science College Jostoma is yet again honoured to organize its first ever Convocation Ceremony in 2021.
