Kohima, July 29 (MExN): The Kohima Sümi Hoho (KSH) held its general session Mt Olive College Auditorium, Kohima on July 25.
Address in the gathering, Y Kikheto Sema, Development Commissioner, Government of Nagaland, called upon the gathering to stay humble, implore God’s wisdom and embrace the challenges and work hard to prosper. He also underscores the value and need for better approach in managing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to move forward with confidence in all aspects.
KSH President K Shiwoto Wotsa acknowledged the members for their unwavering support and cooperation extended during the last three years of their tenure.
He appealed to Sümi residents of Kohima to maintain cordial relationship with all the tribes and communities. Wotsa also underlined the dangers and misuse of social media and urged the Sümis to use the social media platform judiciously.
In the form of resolution, the KSH reiterated its commitment in ushering cordial relationship with all the tribes and communities residing at Kohima for peaceful co-existence.
It also resolved to take stringent action to any of its member whoever creates situation detrimental to the Sümi community through misuse and abuse of Social Media Platform.
Upon the completion of three year tenure and as per the recommendation of Search Committee and with the approval of the house, the present incumbent Office Bearers have been re-elected to continue term for another one year led by K Shiwoto Wotsa as President, Zhutovi Chisho- Vice President, Daniel Kiho- General Secretary, V Khekiye Kiba- Secretary, Vikato Swu- Treasurer, Kazheto Yeptho- Cultural Secretary, Yekhevi Achumi- Cultural Secretary, Obed Chishi- Publicity Secretary, Akheto Achumi- Cemetery Secretary and Y Kikheto Sema, IAS as Banker.
