Kohima, July 5 (MExN): The Kohima Sumi Hoho (KSH) observed pre-Tuluni celebration at its banker in Old Ministers Hill, Kohima on July 4. The programme was attended by Kohima Sumi Officer Union (KSOU), Kohima Sumi Totimi Hoho, Kohima Sumi Students Union, NCRC Sumi, SBCK, SABCK. 

KSH President, Khevito T Shohe extended Tuluni greetings and exhorted all the Sümi leaders based in Kohima to jointly put more efforts to strive towards the betterment of Sumi community. He also urged Sümi to be an ambassador of peace, unity and brotherhood with other Naga community as a progressive society. The KSH President also acknowledged Kikheto Y Sema (IAS) and family for the Tuluni feast and contribution towards the community, stated a press release issued by KSH Media Cell. 

In his address, KSOU President, Warren Holohon said that KSH lead by its president has tremendously contributed towards the community and expressed gratitude for organizing a common platform to observed Tuluni festival. 

“We must serve the community not in words but in deeds and in truth, and set a living example to others as shown by the elders,” he said. He added that it is through the tireless efforts of the present KSH office bearers the long awaited much needed project of Kohima Sumi Cemetery was constructed and mega Tuluni Festival celebration was also observed at Kisama Naga Heritage last year.

Kohima Sumi Totimi Hoho and Kohima Sumi Students Union presidents also spoke in the event. The programme was chaired by Vixepu Swu, Vice President, KSH, Khekavi Yeptho, Pastor SBCK pronounced invocation, Rev Dr G Kiyeto Sema, Pastor SABCK said prayer for the KSH office bearers, vote of thanks by Shivito Wotsa, General Secretary, KSH and benediction was said by Vibo Sumi, Pastor, NCRC Sumi.
