Kohima, December 20 (MExN): The Koinonia Baptist Church with more than 200 volunteers from the Jr CYE and Youth department distributed free coffee, tea and snacks at the National Highway-2 on December 20 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
The distribution was for free to marked the celebration of the birth of Christ, a season of giving and merriment. It served more than 2000 travelers during the day, stated a press release issued by Kikruneinuo Liezietsu from the Koinonia Media Ministry.
The day was marked with invocation prayer led by Neibalie Kiewhuo, pastor. Menuosielie Üsou, evangelist Koinonia Prayer Centre stated that, serving the travelers was a form of joy in giving. He stated that in a time where fund drives are on the rise and the people are reluctant to stop their vehicles for such, people joyfully accepted the serving and blessed the church.
The free distribution of coffee, tea and snack along the highway is a yearly event of the Church to celebrate Christmas.
