DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 20 (MExN): Konyak civil society organizations under the aegis of the Konyak Union (KU) have appealed to all Naga political groups to avoid movement with arms/ammunition within Mon jurisdiction.
A press release from the KU informed that this appeal has been made after an emergency meeting of Konyak civil society organizations on December 20. “Any group who disrupts the situation shall be considered as the enemy of Konyaks. Moreover, incase if any untoward incident happens, then Konyaks will not be held responsible,” the KU stated.
Further, the KU informed that it would convene an all Konyak summit on January 18, 2022 to decide the future course of action if the demands are not fulfilled. It therefore urged all the 9 Konyak elected members, all KU Units & KU Branches, all Konyak frontal organizations, and representatives from every Konyak villages to attend the summit positively and compulsorily.
