Mon, April 9 (MExN): The Konyak Union (KU) mourned the demise of Rev Mankup Konyak of Tamlu village and said that “it was through his untold sacrifices and conviction that the present Konyak generations are bearing the fruit of God’s undying faithfulness.”
In a condolence note received on Friday, the KU late Rev Mankup’s exemplary dedication and urge to serve the Konyaks would always be cherished. “Through his dedicated vision and commitment, the Konyak community has been blessed in its journey towards God’s grace and faithfulness and we are indeed blessed by the power and spiritual awakening through his works,” it added.
The union further stated that the Mission Centre under KBBB, the apex Konyak Baptist association, was initiated through his contributions and concern. Rev Mankup dedicated his life for the Konyaks in reforming the society through his involvement in student activities, education reforms, etc., it said, while adding that “the Konyak community has lost a true committed son of the soil leader which can never be replaced.”
It also conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and stated that the Konyak community would cherish his legacy and selfless services.
