Dimapur, February 12 (MExN): A Road Safety Advocacy programme began on February 12 at Thilixu Baptist Church junction Dimapur.
The programme is being carried out by the Kipi Qomi Welfare Society (KQWS), Thilixu in accordance with Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) guidelines.
It began with an invocation pronounced by Rev Phuhoto Chishi, followed by distribution of pamphlets to vehicle drivers in the presence of traffic police personnel. Kughaho Khala Chairman (KQWS) highlighted the schedule of the upcoming activities.
Distribution of pamphlets will continue on February 23 at Chekiye gate junction and at Purana Bazaar Zion hospital junction on February 26.
An essay competition will be held at Hornbill School Chekiye while painting competition will be held at Government High School Thilixu.
Other activities like quiz, seminar etc will be held at Zunheboto district, the Chairman informed.
