KU appeals NSCN (IM) to revoke ‘Azha’

Dimapur, October 3 (MExN): Joining in with others against the September ‘Azha’ of the NSCN (IM) declaring Goa Governor, Dr SC Jamir and state bureaucrat as ‘anti-national, the Konyak Union today appealed the NSCN (IM) to revoke the ‘Azha’ against the Governor and the state bureaucrat in the larger interest of the Nagas as a whole.

A press statement issued by the Konyak Union President, Khoiwang Wangsa said that sense of shock and gloom has spread over the Konyak community over the declaration of the Joint Council meeting pf NSCN (IM) Steering Committee and council of Kilonsers against the Goa Governor and the state bureaucrat.

The KU lamented that ‘this ‘unconceivable thing’ had happened even when there are frequent killing of each other in the society.

“This declaration has led to ponder for what purpose and where our Naga society is heading,” said Wangsa.

The Konyak Union called for rectification of mistakes and settling of internal matters in an amicable manner.

“In our process of peace and reconciliation and finally Sovereignty, we must rectify our mistakes and domestic and domestic problems whatsoever, at home in an amicable way and not let the world know the internal sickness.”

The Konyak, therefore strongly appealed the NSCN (IM) to revoke the declaration against the Goa Governor and state bureaucrat in the interest of the Nagas since it will lead to further misunderstanding among the Nagas if such ‘serious problem’ continues.
“Nagaland belongs to the Nagas. All are born of the soil.” declared the Konyak Union, and added that it strongly feels that ‘forget and forgive’ is the way of a well organized set up.

“Commitment should be overlapped with forgiveness, so that your good work will ever shine,” the Union added.
