DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 13 (MExN): The Kongan Village Council (KVC) has condemned the December 4 and 5 Oting killings and questioned “if Indian military forces are also trained on how to kill the innocent civilians and conceal the truth very boldly.”
“In the guise of Armed Forces Special Power Act many Nagas have fallen a prey or victimized to this irrational military forces since 1958. It is this time that the Government of Nagaland should learn and strongly urge the Union government to repeal Armed Forces Special Power Act immediately. It is time that Naga Government should strike when the iron is hot for it is this time that we should call spade a spade,” a press release from the KVC stated.
While upholding in prayer for speedy recovery of those injured and the bereaved family, the KVC assured that it stands together with Oting Village at this critical time and will always stand together even in the days to come.
