Mon, August 25 (MExN): Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mon conducted a three-day intensive training programme on “Climate Change and Disaster Management” for extension functionaries, in- service personnel and civil societies from August 22 to 24 at KVK conference hall, Aboi and Angphang Village respectively.
Resource person for the three-day programme were Dr Manoj Singh Sachan, Assistant Chief Technical Officer (Genetics & Plant Breeding) and Dr Paihem Michui, ACTO (Animal Science), a release from Dr M S Sachan, ACTO (GPB), KVK, Mon informed.
The resource persons spoke on various aspects with regard to climate change with special reference to modern agricultural and livestock practices such as resource conservation technologies, climate resilient crop varieties, disaster management, afforestation, multiple & integrated farming system, poultry production and disease management in livestock. A total of 37 participants attended the session.
