KVK, NU Zunheboto distributes poultry inputs at Zhaphumi

Zunheboto, October 11 (MExN): Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Zunheboto, Nagaland University conducted input distribution programme at Zhaphumi village on under Akuluto Block of Zunheboto district on October 11.

According to a press release, the programme was sponsored by ASCI, under which the farmers have been provided training under the theme ‘Small Poultry Farming’ and demonstration on poultry farming. In line with the theme of the programme, KVK provided with the necessary training programme along with chicks, feeds and poultry equipment so that the farmers can acquire the required skills of raising poultry and marketing for their socio-economic development.

Sr. Scientist and Head KVK, Zunheboto Dr Rakesh Kumar Chaurasia who is also the co-ordinator of the programme, stressed on the need for development of required skill and asked the farmers to continue with the programme in future so that they can be self reliant.

A total of 21 farmers were benefitted under the programme. The chairman of the village, Kinto thanked the KVK team which consisted of Dr Rakesh Kumar Chaurasia, Wapangtoshi Longkumer (ACTO Plant protection), Medongullie and Khriengullie for providing the required inputs, the release stated.
