Phek, October 15 (MExN): Mahila Kisan Diwas was celebrated by KVK Phek, ICAR-NRCM at Porba honouring the women farmer towards their contribution to agriculture on October 15.
The importance and significance of Mahila Kisan Diwas was highlighted by Dr T Esther Longkumer, Senior Scientist & Head I/c.
An extempore speech on ‘Role of women in agriculture’ was also organized to mark the occasion. Nuvolu was adjusted the winner followed by Puhulu and Nupalu in second and third position respectively. Consolation prizes were given to Zhovehulu, Ciedusuhlu, Zashetsolu and Akholu.
The programme concluded with words of appreciation by Keniseto Chucha, Farm Manager.
