Beneficiaries of the small scale poultry farming initiated by Dr Rakesh Kumar Chaurasia, Sr Scientist and Head of KVK, Zunheboto at Sumi Settsu village.
ZUNHEBOTO, March 17 (MExN): Under ASCI (Agricultural Skill Council of India) programme, small scale poultry farming was initiated by Dr Rakesh Kumar Chaurasia, Sr Scientist and Head of KVK, Zunheboto at Sumi Settsu village.
According to a press note, the main objective of the programme is to equip the farmers with the required skills in poultry farming along with practical training. “To attain success in the programme it was felt that ‘Learning by Doing’ will provide them the much needed skills,” the release added.
After completion of 10 days training programme, a total of 25 trainees of Sumi Settsu village was provided with 500 Kuroiler chicks, require feeds, feeder and drinker on March 15 to develop the required skill for scientific poultry farming.
“The main objective of the programme is to make the farmers self reliant and generate more income which will indirectly help in providing self employment opportunity,” Dr Rakesh stated.
