Mon, August 11 (MExN): Kongan Village Students’ Union (KVSU) has endorsed the appeal made by Konyak Students’ Union to Education department for an SDEO each to be deployed immediately at Mon Headquarter, Aboi, and Tobu subdivisions.
A statement from KVSU reiterated that the department concerned and the public of the HQ and subdivisions have been facing immense problem for over a month due to absence of Sub-Divisional Education Officers (SDEOs).
KVSU President Kampa Konyak and General Secretary Aunyei Hundokhu Konyak censured the Education department over non-posting of SDEO in the above mentioned areas for couple of months, stating “official works and problems related to schools cannot be discussed or addressed in lapses of concerned officers.”
Hence, KVSU requested the Education department to immediately deploy the officers to the aforementioned places at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the union lauded the Konyak Students’ Union for its genuine demand and for taking note of the problem faced by the general public of these places.
