KYGK questions NSCN (R)

Dimapur, October 7 (MExN): The Kulolau Yemishe Ghami Kucihakulu (KYGK) has expressed resentment over the re-instatement of Khekato Kinimi in the NSCN (R) and sought an explanation on why the accused criminal is being re-instated when the case is still under investigation by competent authority.

Kinimi was terminated for his alleged involvement in the killing of the NSCN (IM)’s Maj Toishe Yeptho of Yemishe village on August 16, 2019.

“While we are patiently waiting for justice to prevail in the instant case, it is disappointing to learn that the main accused in August 16 shooting has been reinstated in your government which amounts to harbouring criminals,” the KYGK said in a press release on October 7.

It said that “revocation of expulsion order of Khekato Kinimi is unfair and injustice,” as the case is still under investigation.

Stating that the expulsion order of Khekato Kinimi issued by the NSCN (R) stated that “he is found to be involved in the August 16 incident and to let the law take its own course of action and to facilitate the free and fair trial,” the KYGK questioned the NSCN (R) for taking a  ‘u-turn’ from its own statement.

The KYGK urged the NSCN (R) to “respond and explain as to why the accused/criminal is being re-instated in your fold when the case is still under investigation by competent authority.”
